I finally got the buzz to finish the second totem pole. These have been in the works for a while. I finishing the first one for Scotty awhile back but just couldn't get motivated to do the second. Until I got idea. My local pub Amy Z's, that I hang out in Lyndon, went working in Louisville during the week, has suffered some awful tragedies. Been going there for 3 years, so these deaths also affected me. So I thought how about a totem of good luck and friendship to help lift everyone's spirits and maybe brings some good luck. So I went crazy and finished it about three weeks. Now a weird thing happened once Amy Z said I could put the pole up. I had this unstoppable wave of emotion and energy that I would have liked to bottle. Well anyway it was a hit, we had a party when we stood it up. There were a lot tears shed for it's symbolism and the message carved in the back saying "Never forget the ones we lost". I think we felt a sense of healing that day and I couldn't have been more enriched. Well it's been up for few weeks and have been getting a lot of compliments and feel the healing effects its had on our locals. On another note Bruce and I had another trek to Alabama to rid our farmers friends of some pesky wild boars. Special permits, FLIR night vision scopes wasn't very fair and wasn't supposed to be. This is all hog eradication, the amount of damage these things do to crops is unreal, but the little one are delicious. Just tried some out in the new smoker. And if you every want to stop in have a drink and feel the power of the totem pole come see us @ AmyZ's pub 813 Lyndon Ln, Lyndon, Ky
