More carving

As the Covid continues on I'm doing my best to keep busy and stay isolated. So I carved 3 more birds 2 hummingbirds and a cardinal. Still utilizing the cedar I got from my friend Heather in Louisville. I couldn't be happier than the way they turned out. I think I even have one sold

Birdbrain

I guess cabin fever has set in of sorts. I have this urge to carve so carve I have. I started with the bird of prey, then the owl. The owl took almost twice the time as the other, and I'm learning as I go. EHD is still running hard as I've found 2 more bucks dead, including a huge 10pt. Haven't had a buck on trail cam for over a month. That has never happened as that I've had trail cameras out year round for the last 7 years. pretty depressing, I was lucky to have harvested my buck as the EHD hit just days after my harvest. I'm sure other big bucks will return to what I refer to as "The Valley of Bucks". I knew the menu bear had to have a home at Amyz"s Pub in Lullville, so of coarse they were thrilled when Tawny and I showed up to donate it. I needed to as a sort of healing with all this made up Covid shit. Your only contagious certain hours of the day, lying fucks. This is an assault on our freedom. I never thought I would see the day. On a plus we survived a roll over crash coming home from the Hill. Dusty ,but unscathed, freaking Tawny flipping off death twice in 3 months. You go girl.

Carpe Diem.

Number 69

Been a trying year for everyone. Mike moved in upstairs which is good as he has a support group and a safe house. Tawny almost died a couple months ago. But her recovery has been outstanding and remarkable. the biggest plus of 2020 as I got my girl back. Been doing doing projects like this menu bear.. Being able to spend the entire summer at home at paradise in Otway with my girl has been the bet year of my life. Which is ironic as the supposed plague that has crippled our country has been  the most relaxed year of my life. I've been lucky enough to watch this nice buck all summer and then have a chance to harvest home on opening day.  So at 7:20 I let the air out of this beautiful 14 pt buck, Expandable broad head did not expand , so not blood or sign , although I did hear the deer crash.  Mikey and I couldn't find the deer. We looked until midnight and resumed the search in the morning and found him about 10;00.. We recovered the tenderloins and the rack. That be #69. Then the bottom dropped out. My deer disappeared. Rumors of EHD about. A reported 22 dead deer found in the Otway area. I took a walk as like no deer pictures on my trail cams. then I found it a dead deer from EHD, tongue hanging out , budging eyes, a horrible way to die. The Covid is killing my deer of sorts. Lucky I was able to harvest my deer before that horrible disease struck our herd. Mother Nature at it's cruelest. Made a Tawny a sign for her birthday out of discarded chain. Working on a couple birds out of cedar.

A new world

With our world upside due to a real or manufactured pandemic I have had the pleasure of spending alot of time at home. Which doesn't seem like much a unless you've been on the road for 16 years. So a plus for the Covid. Been doing alot of crafts, making pickles, gardening, taking alot of pictures. Then the bottom fell out. Taunya was rushed to the hospital for infections and pnemonia. 2 days of flirting with death and 10 days in the hospital. Finally got her home, finally walking and talking. Making a remarkable recovery and a new chapter in our lives. So for some

2020 has been the suck ass year, and I thought mine was too, but  I've had a change of heart. Got to look at the big picture, then everything else falls in place.
