Ah the young

Today we were working in Murfield in Columbus OH where they hold the Memorial Classic that Tiger
Woods won this spring. The transformer we were about to open had a curious little fawn watching us. I went back to the truck to get my camera and snapped a few photos before they ran off. Image by hunting season in 4 months they will be sharp as tacks.

4th of July

Blennerhassett Island

This weekend Taunya, Bub and I went to Coolville, OH t0 her sister Rhondas'. We arrived late Friday, and a sit by the fire and had a few drinks. Sat morning we went boating, first stop, breakfast at The Station Lounge in Belphre Oh. Special was 2eggs, biscuits and gravy, hashbrowns, toast, and all you can drink pitchers, Bloody Marys, screwdrivers or beer. 8 bucks. Might I add it is the ONLY thing you can get for breakfast. So out in the Ohio. It was overcast and threating rain. We spent about 10hrs out, we also went up the Hocking river which was cool and the the rain moved in before we got back and was still was raining when we left at 1:00 oclock today. We still got pretty sunburnt, but whats a boat trip without sunburn. A live band and fireworks at the campground shelter house made the weekend rounded out, bad weather and all. The talk was Rhonda being a dickhead. Pictures say it all. Also went to Blennerhassett Island, it was really cool you can visit it from a paddlewheel from Parkersburg WV or your own boat. Finally I spent most of the day Thursday putting camo graphics on my truck. It wasn't easy, but I think it turned out cool

Friendship, In

It's time again for the spring shoot and flea market in Friendship In. I've been going down ther for about 20yrs. You can see or buy about anything. Taunya, Bub, and I went down for the weekend and as usual had a good time. A trip is not complete without a stop at the Friendship Inn fpr a drink and sumpin' good to eat. Bought some leather, like always, and a moose anter for carving. Saw some old friends and had some laughs too. I swear, I have see the same stuff at the same booths for years. They never sell it, just bring it down every year. See you there sometime

Clifton Mill and Gorge

Bub and I went to Clifton Mill and Gorge in Yellow Springs Ohio today. It was a rainy day and we just had to get out of the hotel. It was cool. Ohio has several nice gorges for the midwest, Old Man Cave is also neat.

South Africa

Taunya and I just returned from a 10 day African safari. It was the most wonderous thing I have ever seen and done. Our host at Thorndale Safaris couldn't have been more gracious. The're friend Maxie gave Taunya a behind the scenes look at their cheetah farm and let her play with a 9 week old lion cub, too cute. Me, I was whackin' and stackin' Blesbok, Kudu, Impala, Springbok, Duiker, and Bush Pig. The bush pig hunt was in the Kouga Wilderness area 300km south of the ranch. It was very steep rugged area, and ironically orange growing area. The lodge was luxurious and we had it all to ourselves. The last night was a meat hunt for the locals, I like to help anyway I can, and did with 2 kudus, a duiker, and a porcupine.
